The last syllable of the Lahu form khɨ‑mɛ̄‑cu ‘heel’ also occurs in làʔ‑mɛ̄‑cu ‘elbow’ and qhɔ‑cu ‘hill, mountain peak’, and seems to mean “rounded object”. (The form cwi is a more colloquial variant of cu. See GL:19.)

Further confirmation of this root would be welcome.
